Yesterday Ross got to drive a Tank! It sounds like he had fun. I am so glad the weather cooperated for him. Down in the DC area we were getting rain, but up here he said it was very nice.

An M1-A2 Abrahms tank. 70 tons (my subaru tops out at 2 tons) rolling at 30 mph!!!
The turret seats 3 people:
loader, gunner, and commander.
At any time, the commander can override the gunner and take full control. It pays to be in charge.
To do it properly, I would have been laying on my back and looking through 3 tiny periscopes.
since you asked (you didn't) it gets 2 gallons per mile of JP-8 jet fuel.
I drove a FREAKING tank!!!
My boss said that I now owe one year of service for each minute in the tank. I will be here for a while. Damn.
