Apple Snack

Well, the picture doesn't make it look very appetizing or interesting. I added up the calories and cost of my apple snack v. buying the baby food container. My version has 85 calories v. 70 calories (I think) in the packaged version. Mine is also 4 ounces v. 3.5 ounces in the package. I split up the cost of the ingredients and my version costs about 26 cents per serving and the package cost 63 cents per serving. Not bad I guess. Here is the recipe:

Apple Snack

1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp. whey
1/2 tsp. flax meal
1 Tbl. mixed cereal
vanilla

Mix it all together, that's it.
